How long will the mountains own the river

At the seams of time and space, mountains take shape, anchoring the intangible and translating it into a sense of "void." This is the physical embodiment of a fracture... "Bardo." This space is neither the land departed from, nor the destination sought. Just as mountains cannot confine or own the flow of the river... This place is merely a solitary isle, adrift between two realms. It is a moment freed from beginnings and ends... Existing solely as a "transient sanctuary," concealed beyond maps, without coordinates or a compass. It is a twilight zone suspended between the stillness of normalcy and the chaos of madness... It is but a fleeting sigh, wedged between a past just fallen and a future yet to arrive.

At the core of this fragile fracture, one steps into a realm where the laws of logic and standard geometry fold and warp. A realm where the shortest path is no longer a straight line, and the confinement of space conceals infinite vastness. At this juncture of illusory dimensions, disorder dances, overlaps, and echoes across alien angles... Yet, as we surrender and embrace this chaos, the distortion of space gradually melts and unravels...

"How long will the mountains own the river" is a modular aluminum installation that simulates the state of "Bardo," the transitional space of transformation. This work serves as a temporary sanctuary, inviting viewers to cast themselves into the currents of turmoil before the distortion of space and dimension gently unravels and dissolves as they pause to rest, transforming that disorder and allowing it to remain.
