Drawing on the myths of the Minahasa people in Indonesia, Primate Visions: Macaque Macabre explores relationships between humans and endangered macaques through speculative fiction, ritual, and ethnographic research. The film reflects on environmental change, memory, and indigenous cosmologies through a hyper-stylised visual language.
