Spirit-forward in G Major (2023)

Spirit-forward in G Major draws on the experiences of the Thai diaspora in Germany to construct a liminal landscape where memory, ritual, and migration converge. Through photogrammetry, real locations are digitally reconstructed and transformed into an ethereal environment that exists between the physical and the virtual, the familiar and the imagined. Combining two-channel video, VR, and sound, the work considers how cultural memory and ritual can generate new relationships to place, identity, and belonging beyond fixed geographical boundaries.
